Gallery Fabrik
Gallery Fabrik is located in the industrial area of Dalsbruk, in an old factory hall that has been converted into an artist’s studio and gallery.
Gallery Fabrik exhibits Merihelena Leskinen’s oil paintings with sea motifs.
Leskinen’s paintings include the Archipelago Sea, its islands and ships, and both the storms and the stillness of the Baltic Sea. Her large maritime paintings capture different times in the history of the Baltic Sea, and antique elements can be seen in her abstract paintings. The different shades of maritime blue are a common thread throughout her work.
Leskinen, a former musician, was born in Helsinki, and has sailed all her life. She moved to Dalsbruk in 2021 and lives in an old fisherman’s home on Norra Mågsholmen with her husband, and her dog Leevi.
