Leskinen’s paintings include the Archipelago Sea, its islands and ships, and both the storms and the stillness of the Baltic Sea. Her large maritime paintings capture different times in the history of the Baltic Sea, and antique elements can be seen in her abstract paintings. The different shades of maritime blue are a common thread throughout her work.
Leskinen, a former musician, was born in Helsinki, and has sailed all her life. She moved to Dalsbruk in 2021 where she lives with her husband and dog Leevi. She works and paint the sea in Gallery Fabrik.
